The role of the Labourer, with additional Gate-person duties, is pivotal to ensuring the smooth execution of the site works. This includes maintaining a safe and organised environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols, and supporting the site team in achieving high standards of operation.

Package: £12 per hour + potential for further training (e.g., plant, asbestos awareness).
Location: Bristol

Company: Kingsley Consulting are partnered with a construction company engaged in the expansion of the SGS Pegasus School. This project focuses on enhancing the special education needs and disability (SEND) provision, accommodating 40 additional students. The works include building extensions, as well as improvements to the soft/hard landscaping and car park area, with a project value of £1,700,000.

Role Overview: The Labourer will be responsible for carrying out various duties as directed by the Site Foreman. These include maintaining site cleanliness, ensuring security of materials and equipment, and performing gate-person and traffic management tasks. This role is integral to the site’s operations and contributes to the overall success of the construction project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations and Method Statements.
  • Participation in all relevant job training as required.
  • Maintaining site cleanliness, including welfare areas and perimeter.
  • Ensuring the security of materials and equipment.
  • Assisting with gate-person and traffic management duties.
  • Supporting the site team to achieve the Considerate Constructor Scheme’s Performance Beyond
  • Compliance Certificate.
  • Complying with uniform and Health & Safety requirements at all times.
  • Fulfilling any additional duties as reasonably requested by the Site Foreman.
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Possession of a CSCS card is desirable, although training can be provided to pass the CSCS Test and obtain the card.
  • Experience in labouring and site management tasks.
  • Good timekeeping and the ability to work under supervision.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.
