Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate stock levels in a fast-paced production setting.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and fixings to ensure minimal disruptions to production.
- Implement and monitor stock control systems, with a particular focus on Sage or similar software.
- Regularly conduct stock audits to ensure data integrity and stock accuracy.
- Liaise with production teams to forecast stock requirements and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve stock and distribution processes, reducing waste and inefficiencies.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring continuous improvement in stock control.
- Provide regular stock reports to senior management, highlighting areas of concern or improvement.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a stock control role (5+ years preferred), ideally within a busy production or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with stock control software, with experience in Sage being highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stock control tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise across various departments.
- Proven ability to identify and implement improvements in stock control and distribution processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of stock management.
